Another week gone…

Snickerdoodles and Milk: a good reason to work out

When I miss the gym workout, my go to is either a trail run, road run or more likely this time of year: Bob Harper’s Inside Out Method. Choose your poison, Strength, Cardio, Yoga for Warriors. This week I had 3 “crossfit” workouts and 2 Bob workouts. The circumstances being that we had snow on the ground Wednesday and I didn’t feel like braving the icy patches in the dark and that the only trainer in the gym for our 5:30 a.m. class overslept on Friday and didn’t make it in.

Monday: Warm up super set x 4: leg press x 8: 210lb, 195,195, 180 and Good Mornings x 8 : 65lb

4 rounds:

  • kettle bell swings x 15 x 35lb
  • lateral sprint strides x 20 x 24″ box
  • burpees x 10
  • jump rope x 100
  • plate push on astroturf x 10 yds x 35lb
  • plyo board lateral jump x 20

Tuesday: Medicine Ball Fun!  4 rounds:

  • 400 m run carrying 12lb med ball
  • 20 wall ball
  • 20 med ball push ups
  • 12 squat slams

 Wednesday: Bob Harper’s Ultimate Cardio Body, 60 minutes of dumb bell swings, lunges, jumps and squats

Thursday: 30 sec work:20 sec rest x 4 rounds 1.5 min rest between rounds

  • hang clean 65lb
  • step ups 24″box, 20lb DB
  • kneeling medicine ball toss
  • kettle bell swings x 35lb
  • inverted row
  • squat jumps

Friday: Bob Harper Inside Out Method: Strength. My arms hurt.

Plans for the weekend: endurance. Hoping for a long trail run/hike tomorrow!
